As the industry started its recovery from a long downturn and the resulting stranglehold on unconventional reservoirs, the timing of the 2017 meeting in Austin on unconventional resource technology couldn’t have been better.
With 3,500+ attendees, 300+ technical presentations and 150 exhibiting companies in Austin in 2017, there is no doubt that the fifth edition of URTeC was an overwhelming success.
Highlights included: Opening Plenary Session which featured keynote addresses from Gene Beck, Alex Archila, Greg Guidry, an Executive Panel Session with discussions from David Adams, Christopher Spies, Jay Stratton, Consultant; and Ken Tubman, 300+ technical papers both oral and epaper presentations, core exhibits, networking receptions, six short courses, six topical luncheons, and four topical breakfasts.
